APOD: 2007 August 14 - A Spectacular Sky Over the Grand Tetons I read somewhere that because of light pollution, the Milky Way as seen from inside of the Grand Canyon is more dim than the lights from Las Vegas some 100+ miles distant. I’ve never gotten a good look at the Milky Way like this. Maybe I should head out to Wyoming sometime.
